Star Trek Online – Personal Starship – U.S.S. Heart’s Hope – Borg Adapted Tech

This is what happens when your Chief Engineer, who happens to be a liberated Borg drone, gets her hands on some salvaged Borg technology.

Actually, what you see here are the appearance changes that take effect when you enable the Assimilated Regenerative Shield Array, Assimilated Deflector Array, Assimilated Subtranswarp Engine systems, and an Assimilated Module.

These items are available through the Borg Reputation System within the Star Trek Online game. An additional item I have acquired through this reputation system is a Reverse-engineered Borg Cutting Beam, but this has no effect on the overall appearance of the ship.

These items, when used in conjunction with each other, enable a Borg tractor beam for use during space combat.

Star Trek Online – Multi-Mission Surveillance Explorer – Vesta Class

The most technologically advanced line of starships in the fleet, the Multi-Mission Surveillance Explorer: Vesta Class comes with a myriad of new technologies. Originally designed as a testbed ship for the experimental quantum slipstream drive, Vesta type ships have been successful in combats against the Borg.  One of the initial Vesta class ships, the U.S.S. Aventine, is commanded by Captain Ezri Dax.

By definition, this ship is extremely versatile. It features a bonus Science Console slot, a hangar bay, Sensor Analysis, Subsystem Targeting, and is the only Science Vessel that can equip cannons. It also features Universal Lieutenant Commander and Universal Ensign Bridge Officer Stations that can be operated by any Bridge Officer class.

The Vesta Class comes standard with a Mark XII Auxiliary Dual Heavy Phaser Cannon.  This cannon is designed to utilize Auxiliary Power instead of Weapon power.  The Vesta Class also comes equipped with a Sympathetic Fermion Transceiver universal console. The Sympathetic Fermion Transceiver creates a large Fermion Field around your ship. This field will continuously repair you and your allies hull and shields while also providing a buff to Starship Particle Generators.

The Sympathetic Fermion Transceiver may be equipped by any Multi-Mission Science Vessel in any console slot. It is part of the Experimental Systems Set. The other two pieces of this set, the Quantum Field Focus Controller and the Multidimensional Wave-Function Analysis Module, can be found on the other Multi-Mission Explorer starships. The two-piece set bonus grants you Chroniton Integrated Quantum Slip Steam.  The three-piece set bonus grants you a Quantum Focused Shield Bubble.

The Multi-Mission Surveillance Explorer comes with the Vesta Class ship Costume. Acquiring other Multi-Mission Science Vessels will unlock additional costume options for your ship.

Star Trek Online – Assault Cruiser Refit – Regent Class

The Sovereign class‘s first major engagement was the Battle of Sector 001 in 2373, when the U.S.S. Enterprise-E led the fight against a Borg invasion near earth. The Sovereign soon became the standard for which all Assault Cruisers were measured.  Now this hallmark ship class gets a upgrade and sets a new standard — the Assault Cruiser Refit: Regent Class.

The Regent Class comes equipped with a Metreon Gas Canisters Console Mod. Metreon Gas is highly unstable, but when properly stored it can be safely replicated and transported.  This Console Mod allows you to vent the gas from your Bussard Collectors and ignite it at will.  The resulting explosions can be extremely devastating. This Console Mod can be equipped in any console slot. It may only be equipped on Sovereign variants, including the Assault Cruiser and Assault Cruiser Refit.

The Assault Cruiser Refit: Regent Class also comes with a Wide Angle Quantum Torpedo Launcher. This torpedo launcher has been upgraded with a Wide Angle targeting system that allows the torpedo to lock onto targets that would normally be outside of standard firing arcs, providing a 180-degree targeting arc. This launcher can be equipped on any starship, but you may only equip one.

The Assault Cruiser Refit configuration includes the Regent, Sovereign, Noble and Majestic classes.

Civillian Vesel – S.S. Raven – Schematics

Seen as wreckage in one episode but then appearing in multiple flashback scenes from Voyager’s  “Dark Frontier”, here lies the S.S. Raven. This is the civillian vessel that Seven of Nine’s parents used on their safari to study the Borg.

Star Trek Online – Personal Starship – Command Crew U.S.S. Perseus

Last night as I was online completing  few missions, I thought it would be fun to take a quick snapshot of Commander Ableman and his command crew. You might notice that they are wearing TOS style uniforms. Was feeling a bit retro once we ranked up to Commander. Ableman himself is actually wearing the TOS Mirror Universe jacket. Behind him, from right to left, we have Six of Nine (Cheif Engineer, liberated Borg), Kel Orum (Chief of Security,  unknown alien race), Thyris (1st Officer and Tactical Officer, Andorian) , and Zedere (Chief Science Officer, Trill). This shot is from oneof my favorite missions during which the crew gets to use the Guardian, from the TOS episode “City on the Edge of Forever“, to travel back in time and thwart a nasty Klingon‘s plans to alter history. During the mission you get to assist the original Enterprise in battle against Klingon D-7 battlecruisers. As an added bonus, you receive a couple of communications from Spock himself, voiced by Leonard Nimoy.

NX-01-A U.S.S. Dauntless – Schematics

While I realize this is not an actual Federation Starship, I have decided to include the U.S.S. Dauntless, NX-01-A. This ship appeared in my favorite episode of ST: Voyager…Hope and Fear. She originally appears to be a prototype “lifeboat” sent by the Federation using Slipstream technology to propel itself faster than any current warp-drive can. Voyager’s crew is meant to use it to get home. Of course, it turns out to be a trap and the ship is an alien vessel meant to transport Janeway and her crew into the clutches of the Borg. I know, not the best description ofthe episode, it’s been quite some time since I last saw it. Check it out for yourselves. Anyway, I was always fascinated by the ship. Seemed a rather elegant design…

Delta Flyer – Auxilliary Spacecraft – Schematics

Today I thought we’d bring you the schematics of the Delta Flyer, an Auxilliary craft built by the crew of the U.S.S. Voyager. I always thought this was a rather neat design and liked the way it incorporated both Starfleet and Borg technology.
